In a few weeks I will have guests in my home. The young woman who is coming with her husband and children has always told me that she feels so "at home" in my house. Honestly, there is no higher compliment when it comes to my home! A beautiful house means nothing if it doesn't feel like home. It is simply a showcase. How does your house feel to you? Does it speak to your soul? Calm your spirit? Settle your anxious thoughts? If not, then maybe it is time to change a few things. Create your "happy place," your "safe space." Don't let clutter or disorganization rob your peace. Simplify, let go of what doesn't serve you well, and create an oasis for yourself and those you love.

Have something on your mind? Need to just "sit a spell" and chat? There's nothing like a "heart to heart" to make sense of life's complexities. We can laugh a little, cry when needed, think awhile about things, or simply refrain from thinking at all as we stop and smell the "magnolias!" Yes, that's this southern girl's favorite flower! So please share your thoughts and questions about life big or small!

De-luttering is definitely calming for the soul. I find it helps to start with small areas that are bothering me the most.
I do it in small chunks. this way, it's not overwhelming..
